Story of The Pixie Who Killed The Moon

Once upon a time there was a silly little pixie called Big Eyes. He never stopped to think about anything at all, and he always believed every single thing he was told.
When a chesnut fell down on his head one night he ran away in terror,shouting at the top of his voice: "A star has fallen on me! A star haa fallen on me!
The other pixies, who had seen the chesnut fall, laughted at him! "Catch it, then!" they cried. " It is shining in your hair!"
Big eyes leaned over a pool and, sure enough, he saw a star shining, as he thought, in his hair.
He took a comb and combed all night,but he could't find the star. I'm nit surpised, either. Aee you.
Another time he heard a nightingale singing and he wanted to take it home to live with him, but it would'tcome. It sat in its bush and sang beautifully, and took no notice of Big Eyes.
"Build a fence round the bush!" said the other pixies." Then he can't get away Big Eyes,"
So Big Eyes gathered s great deal of pieces of wood and made a tight little fence all around the bush.
The nightingale watched him with great interest. "What's that for, Big Eyes?" be asked.
"Wait ans see," said Big Eyes. So thnightingale waited. When the fence was finished Big Eyes jumped over and laughed.........
One day a child went through the wood in which Big Eyes lived. She carried a bif yellow ballon, and it floated prettily behind her. Suddenly there came a great gust if wind and-puff!- the strinf was blown out of her hand abs the balloob went saiking away into the wood. It floated through the air for a long time, until it came to the pkace where Bug Eyes was having dinner. It landed just by him stayed on the bush........
He hadn't seen the balloon was coming to him. He throwed a stick and the balloon bursted. And Big Eyes went to a rabbit hole and said " Oh, dear. Oh, dear! I've killed the moon. What will the fairy queen say to me? The fairy queen came " what happened?" I've killed the moon!" " oh, my! Let me see!" Big Eyes you didn't there's the moon see. And the pixiesmare saying the yellow balloon burst" Big Eyes " Oh , really ...."
