About My Country

Hi! I am Mongolian. In my country we have got a lot of mountains. We've got a lot of buildings. Our traditional celebration is White Month (Tsagaan Sar) but, everybody says it's a Chinese New Year! On White Month we watch wrestling and also we hear Mongolian folk songs and dances, and we eat our traditional dish buuz, khuushuur, dumplings. We celebrate White Month by the lunar calender. It lasts fifteen days. Before White Month we clean our house and make our traditional dishes! On Tsagaan Sar we greet each other, with khadag. We wear our traditioinal clothes like deel, belt,and shoes.
Our king is named Chingis Khaan. He is popular in the world! His childhood name is Temuujin. His wife's name is Burte Ujin( Ujin is my name! :):):) ) He became a king on 1206. He became a king when he was 44. He was born on 1162, and he died on 1227. He was born in Khentii province. His father Yesukhei died on 1172.
